On Spanish time

It’s been more than two months since we returned from our glorious trip to Spain with my family and I am thrilled to finally share some photos. This is really just a drop in the bucket, but it captures the people, place and fun times that made for a perfect vacation.  It was a week of great food, sunsets, wine, dance parties, soccer, rugby practice, water balloon fights, laying by the pool, wandering the olive orchards and just spending time with family. I feel pretty lucky to be apart of this crew and to have had the opportunity to gather in the idyllic Spanish countryside for Dad’s 70th Birthday. Thank you to my parents, brother and sister-in-law for making it happen, and to the rest of the family for a week full of great memories. Time to start planning the next trip!

Family Vacation

Some time for myself

I’ve been busy. That, I love what I’m doing but oh my gosh it’s November this week and I still have projects I need to complete from this summer, kind of busy. I’ve been prioritizing my work with my clients, and while I’ve had some terrific sessions over the past few months, sometimes I need to just step back and remember to shoot for myself. So this morning, I ignored my mile-long list and post-it note covered desk and went on a photo walk. Here’s a little teaser… I’d like to tell you that more will be coming soon, but let’s face it, fall will be long forgotten by the time I get around to posting the whole series. Still, it feels good to catch some of the color before it disappears.

Okay, back to my post it notes.

Jaclyn 2014 :: Carkeek Park Senior Session

I’m stoked to finally be sharing this great senior session! I had so much fun with Jaclyn and her family last month. Jaclyn was up for anything; for our last shot she got right down in the waves. I love a gal that’s willing to get dirty for a great portrait!{Jaclyn 2014} - Carkeek Park Senior Session

The Ironwoman

My sister is an Ironman Champion. She has won three women’s pro races in the last two years and yesterday placed 13th at the world championship in Kona (not to mention her many other great finishes). Incredible!

While I was busy sleeping and eating during our trip to Spain this summer (yes, more photos coming soon!) she was in full training mode for yesterday’s race. Happily, I was able to capture a few shots of her hard at work amongst the olive trees. Go, Jessie, go!

The Binghams :: Studio Session

{ The Binghams } - Studio Session

It’s been a long time coming, but I finally have my indoor studio completely set up. And what better way to break it in than with the fabulous Bingham family! I’ve been photographing these kids for the last two years and loving every second of it. They continuously crack me up and always come with the best smiles. Thank you guys for another fun shoot, can’t wait for the next one!
